Putting the ART in Carthage 2023
If you missed “Putting the ART in Carthage” on May 6, you won’t want to miss it next year! The beautiful Williams Frances Theatre was the perfect venue, right in the heart of Carthage. Queen City Quartet created a wonderful atmosphere with their strings. A Catered Affair kept our bellies full while we perused the amazing art from students and residents. And of course a major THANK YOU to ArtsWave for the grant that made cash prizes possible. Our Carthage students were especially excited and so proud to show their work! We have so many talented folks in our neighborhood.
Shout out to our volunteers who put in the hours hanging and jurying art, carrying stuff, cleaning up, and making the day run smoothly.

Si te perdiste “Putting the ART in Carthage” el 6 de mayo, ¡no querrás perdértelo el próximo año! El hermoso teatro Williams Frances fue el lugar perfecto, justo en el corazón de Carthage. Queen City Quartet creó un ambiente maravilloso con sus cuerdas. A Catered Affair mantuvo nuestros estómagos llenos mientras examinamos el increíble arte de los estudiantes y residentes. Y, por supuesto, un gran GRACIAS a ArtsWave por la subvención que hizo posibles los premios en efectivo. ¡Nuestros estudiantes de Carthage estaban especialmente emocionados y orgullosos de mostrar su trabajo! Tenemos tanta gente talentosa en nuestro vecindario. Agradecemos a nuestros voluntarios que dedican horas colgando y juzgando arte, cargando cosas, limpiando y haciendo que el día transcurra sin problemas.
There were 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention prizes for each school grade, and winners were from Hartwell Elementary, Raising Stars Carthage, St. Pius, and SCPA.
The adult artists had the same prizes for 2D and 3D categories.
