Census 2020

The Decennial Census aims to count every person in the country. It is also mandated by the Constitution that everyone in the country is counted every ten years, and the data collected affects distribution of federal funds, fair representation, and political redistribution. Census data is confidential and only used for statistical purposes. For each person not counted in the 2020 Census, Greater Cincinnati loses $1,814 per year in federal funding. In 2010, there was a 77% participation rate in the Census.
