Trick-or-Treat 2018

Happy Halloween!

Official Trick-or-Treating times for our neighborhood are 6-8pm on Oct. 31.

Hopefully the forecasted rain will hold off! But just in case, here are some indoor alternatives for your little spooks:

October 30: Trick or Treat at IKEA in West Chester, 6-8pm

October 31: Mall-O-Ween at Northgate Mall, 4-7pm

October 31: Trick-Or-Treat at Tri-County Mall 4-6pm

October 31: Trick or Treat at Carol Ann’s Carousel (at The Banks), 11am-3:30pm

Voting on the Carthage NBD Plan

In partnership with the planning department of Cincinnati, members of the Carthage community have been collaborating on a plan for the Neighborhood Business District. This plan outlines goals and action steps for creating a vibrant, walkable business district in our neighborhood.

At the next Carthage Civic League meeting on Monday, November 19, 2018 we will be voting on the approval of our current draft. We ask the members of the community to review the plan ahead of time and join us at the meeting to discuss and vote.

Family Health Day, Sunday Oct. 14, 2018

FREE health screenings and flu shots for the entire family.

New Jerusalem Baptist Church 10am – 3pm

Every year, the First Ladies & Representatives of churches and organizations come together to host Family Health Day at various locations across our city ON THE SAME DAY.

Adult screenings include HIV, Glucose, Blood Pressure, Vision, Prostate, Brain Health, Lung, and senior care assessments.  Mammography units are stationed at several locations.  Follow-up appointments can be made on the same day if results are not normal. Information on heart and diabetes, nutrition, cancer, prenatal and maternal care, and senior care are available. Flu Shots at every location.

Mammography Unit will be present at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, New Prospect Baptist Church, Rockdale Academy, and Evanston Recreation Center

Prostate Screenings will be held at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, New Prospect Baptist Church, Corinthian Baptist, Mother of Christ Catholic Church, New Unity Baptist Church

Children’s screenings include Brain Health, Dental, Hearing, BMI, Asthma, Vision, Speech/Language.  Flu Shots at every location. Each location with have interactive education for the family.

Flu Shots are available for adults and children. Flu shots protect your family and is the very best defense against the flu. Please see below link for more information on the flu shot.
